2012 — 2013: Mathematics

St. Peters­burg State Uni­ver­sity, Leon­hard Euler Inter­na­tion­al Char­it­able Found­a­tion for Math­em­at­ics and the School of Math­em­at­ics «Uni­chance» announce the first Inter­na­tion­al Math­em­at­ic­al Olympi­ad «For­mulo de Integreco».

School­chil­dren of grades 7–10 from Rus­sia and stu­dents aged 13–16 from all over the world are invited to par­ti­cip­ate. Par­ti­cip­a­tion in the com­pet­i­tion is free.

Com­pet­i­tion win­ners will receive cer­ti­fic­ates and will be invited to the spe­cial dis­tant math­em­at­ic­al circle, mem­bers of the circle will be able to par­ti­cip­ate in the Inter­na­tion­al Math­em­at­ic­al Sum­mer camps «For­mulo de Inter­eco» held in Rus­sia (near St. Peters­burg) and in Spain.

The jury com­pleted the eval­u­ation of solu­tions. Here are the lists of top res­ults in all 4 grades.

All the par­ti­cipants in these lists will receive either dip­loms of win­ners (I, II or III) or cer­ti­fic­ates of approv­al (CA, in grades 7 and 8 only).

The eval­u­ation of solu­tions of the prob­lems of the 2nd round will be com­pleted with­in the next 5 days. The lists of win­ners will be pub­lished at our web site, and the indi­vidu­al res­ults will be sent to the per­son­al e‑mail addresses.

The jury com­pleted the eval­u­ation of solu­tions of the 1st round. Every solu­tion was eval­u­ated out of 7 points; thus, the max­im­al res­ult could be 42 points.

The jury is about to com­plete the eval­u­ation of solu­tions. The par­ti­cipants of the Olympi­ad were from:

  • Israel (7),
  • Croa­tia (2),
  • Belor­us­sia (1),
  • Ukraine (1),
  • USA (1).

On Decem­ber 15 we shall pub­lish the list of par­ti­cipants of the 2nd round; we shall e‑mail the indi­vidu­al res­ults to the par­ti­cipants before Decem­ber 25. The details of the 2nd round will be also e‑mailed on indi­vidu­al basis.

Announce­ment of the Olympiad

There will be two rounds in the Olympi­ad. First round is by cor­res­pond­ence, the list of prob­lems in Rus­si­an and Eng­lish will be pub­lished on Octo­ber 25, 2012, the dead­line for send­ing solu­tions is Novem­ber 15. The date and the format of the second round will be announced after Novem­ber 20.

It is pos­sible to obtain the list of prob­lems and fur­ther announce­ments related to the Olympi­ad via email.
